Brewery Lane Drama Group's week long production of the comedy play 'Glorious' opens at Brewery Lane Theatre in Carrick-on-Suir this Saturday, April 6.
The Peter Quilter drama will run nightly at Brewery Lane until Saturday, April 13 inclusive. The play begins at 8pm each night.
'Glorious' is the true story of Florence Foster Jenkins. She was the performer everyone wanted to see live in 1940s New York.
She was an enthusiastic soprano whose pitch was far from perfect.
Florence was known as the first lady of the sliding scale. Her audience mostly fell about with laughter.
The cast includes- Maria Clancy, Michael Raggett, Jane Tennyson, Paula O'Dwyer, David Shee, Peter McGrath, Diana Prieto.
The play is directed by Esther Byrne. Refreshments will be served during the interval.
