Carrick-on-Suir's Sean Healy Library where the Memory Café will take place once a month

A new monthly Memory Café for people with Dementia will have its first session Carrick-on-Suir's Sean Healy Memorial Library next Monday, April 8 from 11am to 12.30pm.

If you have a friend or family member living with Dementia, they may like to attend the social gathering.

The café is a safe space where they can meet others with similar experiences as them.

It is always free to attend and runs for two hours once a month with the support of the Irish Dementia Café Network, the Alzheimers Society of Ireland and Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme.

Most café meetings will feature a speaker talking about a subject of interest. There is usually music or some fun event, a cup of tea and chat.
