Tipperary Gardaí have appealed for the public’s assistance after a significant amount of timber fencing was stolen from a tourism site last weekend.

The fencing was taken at the Littleton Labyrinth near Ballynonty, at some point between Saturday and Monday.

The timber was used as part of the Littleton Labyrinth Walkway, which is a tourism venture between Bord na Móna and Tipperary County Council.

In a statement, Gardaí investigating the theft said, “Gardaí are investigating a theft at a facility in Ballynonty, County Tipperary which was reported on Monday, April 8.

“A quantity of material was taken in the course of the incident. Investigations are ongoing.”

Any member of the public who has any information is asked to contact Thurles Garda station on 0504-25100.
