The dates have been announced for the celebration of First Communion in Thurles parish.
This is one of the biggest events in the parish and this year it will be celebrated over two weekends, with both Bóthar na Naomh Church and the Cathedral of the Assumption being utilised.
On Saturday, May 18 at 10am Scoil Ailbhe will celebrate their First Communion in Bóthar na Noamh Church, while Rahealty National School will celebrate theirs at 10am in the Cathedral of the Assumption.
The Presentation Primary School will then celebrate their First Communion at 12pm in the Cathedral on the same day.
A week later, on Saturday, May 25, Gaelscoil Bhride will be on at 10am on Bóthar na Naomh followed by Leugh National School at 12pm in the same church.
Meanwhile, Scoil Angela will celebrate their First Communion in the Cathedral of the Assumption at 12pm on the same day.
