Scoil Ailbhe Progressive 25 Card Drive night proves to be a massive success!

Scoil Ailbhe, having gone Co-Educational, welcomed girls and boys from Junior Infants for the first time in history this school year. The recent Progressive 25 fundraising night raised over €7500.

A huge crowd turned out to support the ‘Scoil Ailbhe Progressive 25 Card Drive’ last Wednesday. There were 23 tables on the night. There were lots of raffle prizes on the night and there was also a raffle for ‘non-players’ which was held separately.

The top prize went Moyne-Templetuohy direction whereby T.J Everard and Jim O’Meara came out on top, winning 11 games.

There were six pairs on 10 games - Margaret Shanahan and Eileen Hennessy, Martina Kelly and Liam Cleary, Jerry Stakelum and Seán Moynihan, Phil Barry and Marion Loughnane, Michael Bourke and Martin Walsh and Nuala Breslin and Michael Coonan.

The two table prizes went to P.J McLoughlin and Mike Corbett and Jim and Tom Power. Scoil Ailbhe received fantastic support from parents in the school, local businesses and the wider community.

Amazing prizes were donated and these were the secret to the success of the entire event and raffle ,which together raised over €7500.

This was incredible money and the school wishes to sincerely thank everyone who supported this fundraiser. All of the money raised will go directly into activities and resources to benefit all the children in the school.

It has been a very exciting year in Scoil Ailbhe, having gone Co-Educational, welcoming girls and boys from Junior Infants for the first time in history.

These children have thrived under the watchful eye of Ms Eadaoin Doyle and indeed the entire school community.

As they move on to Senior Infants in September, Scoil Ailbhe looks forward to welcoming a new group of Junior Infant girls and boys for the 24/25 school year.
