Meet the nine stunning 'Queen' beauties chosen for 4-Day Festival in Tipperary

Festival Fever
With only 10 days to our Festival, Golden village and Golden/Kilfeacle GAA Club are gearing up for the Queen Of The Suir 4-day Festival
Events will include Kayaking and Kiddies Disco and a 5k walk on the Wednesday evening, to a Drive-In Bingo at 8pm with Queen entrants in attendance on the Thursday evening.
The Festival Field Evening goes ahead at 6pm on the Friday evening with monster timber auction and huge array of sideshows and Festival Draw in Billy Toohey’s Bar at 10pm. On Saturday night, June 1 there is the big dance extravaganza with Jimmy Buckley and Dj Richie.
Along with our nine gorgeous entrants in the Queen of the suir event and our Best Nana/ Best Grandad event
There is definitely something for everyone in Golden over our Festival weekend.

Festival Draw
Tickets are now on sale from all players in GAA club and all members. They will be on sale at our field evening from Nellie. Tickets also available in all pubs and post office
Tickets are just €5 with a book of 5 €20. Five fantastic prizes. Your support by buying a ticket would be greatly appreciated.

Queen event

Kiddies event
Our kiddies disco with art competition and face painting in Golden Kilfeacle GAA complex on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Entry per child just €5
Adults with children are free and they will also receive a free tea/ coffee on the night.
Little prince and Princess selected. Best costume selected. Best dancer selected. The shop open at disco
Hoping all school children in our parish and surrounding communities will attend this lovely kiddies event.
Parents very welcome to stay and boogie with us.
Our Queen Of The Suir entrants will attend the disco and help organise dances like
Rock the boat, Follow the leader, etc and they will take photos with the kiddies as well.

Timber
Our monster general auction and timber auction with Cllr Michael Fitzgerald will start at 7.30pm in our gaa grounds at our field evening.

Dog Show
Our dog show will start at 6.30pm at Festival Field Evening. All categories. All types of dogs welcome

Kayaking
Our 9 Queens will take to the river Suir on Wednesday, May 29 at 6pm.
Kayaking with Michael Lonergan from the Moate to the island Golden
Come on down to the island and cheer on the ladies.
All 9 ladies simply can't wait for this 1st event at our Festival.

Bingo
Our Festival Drive In Bingo in Golden GAA grounds at 8pm on Thursday, May 30.
Over €2,500 in prize money given out on the night with a €500 payout on page 9 for a full house
Books usual price.
Gates open at 6.30pm.
All nine entrants in our Queen Of The Suir event will be introduced to the audience at 7.30pm.
