Tynan spoke of the need to play to honour the achievements of the elder statesmen on the team after the Waterford game, and he was one of the few to take on that message as the Roscrea man put himself about very well.
He was battling a losing fight in midfield for a lot of the game, but he had some good moments, putting in a huge physical shift and stood out with so many around him moving poorly.
