Karen Hickey-Dwyer passed away on Sunday
Tributes have poured in following the sad and untimely passing of Karen Hickey-Dwyer, from Mount Temple, Moneygold, Grange, Sligo / Cashel, Tipperary.
Karen, beloved daughter of the late Patrick and sister of the late Philip, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, May 26.
She is deeply and forever missed by her loving partner Fergus, mother Bridget, sisters, Marie, Elaine and Clodagh and brothers James and Patrick, brothers-in-law Gerald, Declan and Peter, sisters-in-law Stella and Sandra, her much loved nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Karen, with one mourner writing,
"Deepest sympathies to all Karen's family members, and her many friends. The wonderful smile on this picture captures her perfectly. Memories of lots of fun and laughter. May she rest in peace, and I know that she will get a great Tipp sendoff."
Another wrote,
"Deepest sympathy to the Hickey Dwyer family and Fergus on the sudden death of your beloved Karen. She lit up every room with her presence, her smile and her personality. Thinking of you all at this very difficult time. Rest in peace Karen."
While another wrote,
"My deepest condolences to Fergus and Karen’s family. Karen was a wonderful person and an excellent colleague. She was intelligent, dedicated, very kind and generous. My memories of her will be of fun, laughter and enriching the lives of everyone who met her. May Karen rest in peace. Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís."
Funeral arrangements
Reposing at Laurel House, Templenoe, Cashel (Eircode E25 AH34) this Thursday evening from 4pm to 8pm.
Requiem Mass on Friday in the Church of Our Lady Queen, New Inn, Co. Tipperary at 11am and can be viewed on https://churchcamlive.ie/newinnparish/ followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
