Billy Collier and Mary-Anne Fogarty, both retired members of the Society, were welcomed recently by the Conference and presented with certificates to recognise their generous commitment and long standing service to the community through their volunteer work with Vincent de Paul.
Mary-Anne and Billy were given certificates and a Frederick Ozanam medal as a memento of their volunteer work.
Over many years, they have dealt with people enduring a difficult time, with compassion and kindness, and solved many problems, bringing relief and comfort to families and individuals.
Conference President, Patricia O Brien, welcomed the guests and expressed appreciation of their work and example.
SVP welcomes volunteers who can spare a few hours from time to time to carry on their good work.
