Arrabawn Co-Operative Society Limited has been given a green light for its plan for 10,000 solar panels in Nenagh.

The co-op was granted conditional planning permission for a solar PV panel array consisting of up to 10,000 solar PV panels.

The development address is at Knockanpierce, Nenagh, Tipperary.

The project includes a solar PV panel array consisting of up to 10,000 solar PV panels (c.27,010m2) on ground mounted steel frames on a c.6.33 hectare site, external transformer, power inverter units, underground cable ducts, perimeter security fence, CCTV masts, solar lighting and all associated works.

The council attached eleven conditions to their decision.
