Former Tipperary councillor awarded for service to local community

A presentation was made to Queen of the Suir festival chairman Michael Fitzgerald to acknowledge his retirement from political life and to thank him for his work for the GAA festival and club.

The presentation was made in Billy Toohey's bar on Sunday, June 30, at the close of the festival.

Some of the entrants in the Queen of the Suir event were present, along with the winner of the 2024 Queen of the Suir, Olivia Leamy.

Planning for the 2025 edition of the competition is already underway.
