The Coillte 10k & Junior 5K last Wednesday, July 3rd attracted a large turnout of 329 athletes in total to the quaint village of Dundrum with athletes from many different clubs across the county and beyond.
One of the star performers was local Moycarkey Coolcroo athlete Mossy Bracken who put in another stellar performance finishing in 4th place amongst some of the top runners in a new personal best for 10k of 31:00.
A Moycarkey Coolcroo statement, in relation to their runners, said that Mossy: "was a bit disappointed not to get under the 31mins but a great effort nonetheless. Well done Mossy. Shane Mullaney was next home in 38th place in a season's best of 37:57. Thomas Boland ran well too in 57th place in a time of 39:17.
"The hard training is paying off for Paul Bowe who ran a new personal best of 39minutes and 53 seconds in 69th place with his younger brother William Bowe also garnering a PB for the distance in 179th place in a time of 47mins & 43 secs, Well done to all and congrats to Dundrum AC on a well organized event," the statement concluded.
