'A message from the Ivers family' - following the death of Kevin in Australia

A huge crowd gathered at the memorial service in Australia including friends and family of Kevin's who made the long and devastating journey from Ireland to say goodbye. 

The Ivers family have penned a beautiful message following the death of Kevin Ivers in Australia following an accident. 

Kevin, originally from Golden, died following a car crash on June 9.

Formerly of Pearse Park, Golden, county Tipperary, Kevin, who was in his 30s, owned his own earth moving business called Golden Plant Hire, a nod to his hometown in Ireland.

He is deeply regretted by his heartbroken fiancée Rhyllie, sons Sonny and Banjo, parents Richie and Ann, brothers Paddy and David, sisters Donna and Aoife, grandmother Bridget, brother-in-law Michael, sisters-in-law Emma and Sheila, nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, relatives and his many friends in Australia and Golden.

The family statement reads: "Dear All, As a family, we would like to thank each and everyone of you for your generosity and your kindness at this very difficult time.

"Your support has helped us through the most difficult time of our lives. Kevin would be extremely proud of how you have rallied as a community to support his family.

"We really do appreciate all you have done for us.

"We will be holding a memorial mass in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Golden on Sunday the 28th of July at 3pm and all are welcome."
