Residents of Lime Court in Clonmel are flying the flags and banners in support of local resident Daire Lynch, who will compete at the Olympic Games in Paris in just over a week's time.

The 25-year-old champion rower, son of Joanna and Niall Lynch, will team up with Philip Doyle from Banbridge, county Down in the Double Sculls event.

They will be in action in the first round at 10.30am on Saturday week, July 27.

The pair won bronze at the World Cup at Lago di Varese in Italy in April.

They will now be looking to add prized Olympic medals to their honours, and are wished all the very best.
