Guided tour walk of River Suir towpath in Carrick-on-Suir is planned

The walk examining the towpath's cultural, natural and built heritage will take place during National Heritage Week

A guided walk of the riverside towpath in Carrick-on-Suir called Connections Routes and Networks - Journeys on the Tow Path will take place on Saturday, August 17 from 10am to 12noon. 
Tipperary Museum of Hidden History is hosting the walk for National Heritage Week, which runs from August 17 to 25. 
It will be led by Ralph O'Callaghan and Brian White and will focus on the cultural, natural and built heritage of the towpath route including the industrial and architectural heritage, the navigation and boat traffic and flora and fauna of the routeway. 
The walk will commence at the Bog Field, Carrickbeg, Carrick on Suir. It is the field located at the Carrickbeg side of the River Suir at the end of Dillion Bridge. 
Admission is free but pre-booking is advised contact: museum@tipperarycoco.ie or (052) 6165252 to reserve a place.
