Tipperary hurling hero Declan Ryan is also a dab hand at golf

Holding the Captain’s Prize and the Crowe Cup at County Tipperary Golf and Country Club is Declan Ryan, with his wife Olive and the Club Captain Daniel Kennedy

Tipperary hurling hero Declan Ryan recently won the Captain's Prize at County Tipperary Golf and Country Club for the second time.

Playing off 12, he recorded an excellent score of 129 over the two days.

In a very successful playing career he won All-Ireland senior medals in three decades, in 1989, 1991 and 2001.

He was manager of the Tipperary team that won the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship in 2007 and was in charge of the county senior team that won the Munster Championship in 2011, and reached the All-Ireland final the same year.
