There was a 15-minute delay during the Intermediate Hurling Championship clash between Moneygall and Carrick Davins on Saturday afternoon after a spectator took ill during the first half of the contest in Dundrum.
The first round clash was close to half-time when officials were alerted to the stricken man's condition who was taken to by ambulance away to hospital after a 15-minute period of concern.
The man - the Chairman of Carrick Davins - was taken by ambulance to the hospital and while his condition is unknown, he was able to carry himself to the ambulance and insisted that the game be restarted.
The game was played out and finished in an easy Moneygall victory on a score line of 2-24 to 0-17.
