Tipperary rower, Daire Lynch has qualified for an Olympic final at the first time of asking as he and his teammate Philip Doyle won their semi-final heat in the Men's Double Sculls in Paris this morning.
Clonmel athlete Lynch is competing in his first-ever Olympic Games and he will be in contention for a medal as he and Doyle registered a time of 6:13, finishing the race strongly to outpace the USA and New Zealand pairs.
