A residents association in Ballyneale has presented a “shopping list” of improvements they want Tipperary County Council to carry out in the village and top of the list are speed warning signs for motorists.

Carrick-on-Suir Cllr Kieran Bourke said the speed signs on the approach to the village’s primary school were works the residents association particularly wanted to highlight.

He mentioned flashing light warning signs as a possibility for the location and called on the Council to prioritise the delivery of this warning signage.

District Engineer Denis Power said the Council had a number of jobs to do in Ballyneale and promised to investigate securing flashing speed warning signs for the village.
