ALERT: Met Éireann's Irish weather forecast for coming weekend is NOT good!

Looks like there'll be rain this weekend according to the most up to date Irish weather forecast

FRIDAY: Friday will be a brighter day overall with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, mainly affecting the west and north with parts of the east and southeast staying fully dry.

The showers will become more isolated later in the afternoon but it will turn cloudier over Munster and south Leinster with outbreaks of rain following.

Highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees in a moderate to fresh westerly wind.

OUTLOOK: Warm, humid and generally dry this weekend with heavy rain possibly holding off till later on Sunday.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Most areas dry with clear spells, except for some rain along southern and northwestern fringes. Lows 13 to 16 degrees in light to moderate southwest breezes.

SATURDAY: Sunshine and well scattered showers, mainly affecting Connacht and Ulster during the first half of the day. Sunshine will turn hazy later on.

Rather warm in moderate westerly winds with highs of 18 to 23 degrees, warmest and driest across Leinster and Munster.

Possible patchy drizzle across west and southwest areas after-dark, but otherwise staying dry.

Lows of 11 to 15 degrees.

SUNDAY: Some uncertainty, however current indications suggest it will be generally dry early on with hazy sunny spells but with persistent rain possibly moving into west and southwest areas in the evening.

Warm and humid with highs of 19 to 25 degrees in mostly moderate southerly winds.

EARLY NEXT WEEK: Overnight rain clearing eastwards early on Monday with an improvement following. Some heavy rain likely during Monday night and into Tuesday however.
