Although a favourite throughout the competition, unfortunately Tipperary's Tara Brady has missed out on the Rose of Tralee crown on Tuesday night.
Tara represented the county and her hometown of Ballina in this year's competition and did a fantastic job!
She took to the stage for her televised interview with co-host Dáithí Ó Sé on Tuesday night and then played the spoons and Irish danced for the audience.
Following an entrance to one of the loudest cheers of the night, Tara was interviewed on stage by Dáithí Ó Sé. She gave a shout-out to the University of Limerick where she is now completing her masters as well as her band Cailíní Lua who were in the arena to cheer her on.
After her interview and performance, social media users immediately started to name her the winner with one person saying on X "Wow…Tipperary rose is a force. Super performance"
Another wrote, "OK the Tipperary Rose is my winner so far... playing the spoons and a dance! I was half expecting her to throw in a bit of sean-nós. Talent 10/10"
"A stunning dress, a spoon player and a dress reveal before you start Irish dancing?! She’s the winner!"
Unfortunately it just wasn't quite enough for the judges on this occasion.
Tara was supported in Tralee by her family, friends and neighbours.
