Carrick Swan GAA Club

Carrick Swan GAA Club commiserates with its Junior football team who lost to Ballylooby/Castlegrace in the South semi-final after the game went to penalties last Friday.

The Club’s Premier Intermediates are back in action on Sunday next in Gortnahoe at 6.15pm when they take on Silvermines in Round 3 of the Seamus O’Riain Cup.

The Junior A hurlers take on St. Patrick’s in their South semi-final on Saturday at 4pm in Kilsheelan.
Despite some heroic wins in their last two games, the Under 19 team exited their championship last week when results in other games didn’t go their way.

Juvenile Scene

Last week, the Under 17 team lost to Ballingarry by one point and comfortably defeated Cahir.

The Under-10 camogie players participated in a county blitz on Sunday in Ballylooby. They played three good, tough games against two Brian Borus teams and Ballybacon and showed great skills and determination.

Thirty-four Swan Under 6 players visited Mooncoin on Saturday along with their coaches for the annual Mooncoin GAA Under 6 Hurling Blitz. An outstanding morning of activities ensued, and all the children had a great time. The Swan Club says well done to the kids, parents, coaches and Mooncoin GAA Club.

The Club also congratulates Alex O' Dwyer and the South Tipperary Under 14 footballers who took part in the Jim Power Cup in Dungarvan last Saturday. Alex is also a member of the Tipperary Under 14 hurling team that competes in the Tony Forristal Tournament next weekend.

Club Lotto
This week’s lotto jackpot is an astonishing €14,000. Eight people were just one number away from winning last week’s €13,750 jackpot. They won €30 each.

Condolences
The Club extends condolences to the Boland family of Clonmel and Meaney family of Carrick-on-Suir and Dublin on their recent bereavements.
