After a fine opening day treble at the York Ebor Festival, punters are rowing in behind Aidan O’Brien to find the scoresheet on day two according to BoyleSports.

The Lion In Winter, Los Angeles and City Of Troy combined to land the Ballydoyle treble and O’Brien has two strong chances on Thursday to continue what has already been a fruitful week.

Heavens Gate will kick off the popular 10/1 double in the opening race, the Group 2 Lowther Stakes, and has been backed into 15/8 from a high of 11/4 this morning.

Third at Royal Ascot behind star stablemate Fairy Godmother, she filled the same position in Newmarket’s Duchess of Cambridge before taking the valuable Ballyhane Stakes at Naas.

Punters are confident she will get them off to a flier and get the better of Queen Mary winner Leovanni (5/2) who runs in the silks of Wathnan Racing.

The sights of bettors will then turn to the day’s feature race, the Yorkshire Oaks where they will be hoping another Ballydoyle filly, Content, can complete a double for the yard.

The daughter of Galileo caught the eye of punters when having a troubled passage in the Irish Oaks where she finished second to the reopposing You Got To Me (4/1) but has been well-backed to avenge that defeat at 11/4.

Brian O’Keeffe, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “Aidan O’Brien inflicted plenty of damage on our satchels yesterday and punters think he can do the same again today. The two fillies, Heavens Gate and Content have been really popular and are well fancied to make it a fantastic five for Ballydoyle this week.”
