Fantastic day out at Tipperary Races last Sunday with the Denis Hogan-trained Polemon winning big

A fantastic afternoon of racing and fun took place at Tipperary last Sunday at a venue moving with the times as reusable eco cups were introduced at Tipperary Racecourse for their Family Fun Day.

A Tipperary Town Green Hub initiative in association with Mywaste and led by Tipperary County Council with the support of the Regional Waste Management Office, the aim of the Green Hub initiative is to assist businesses in the hospitality sector to better manage their business waste.

On the track itself, the Denis Hogan-trained Polemon won the concluding 12-furlong handicap in the hands of Daniel King.

Owned by the Premier Racing Club, the 9/1 chance was well on top as he scored by all of three and three-parts of a length from the Sheila Lavery-trained 10/30 favourite Lady Christa.
