James with Olympian James Guy
Thurles CBS swimmer Oscar Corbett has shown real talent in recent times and took part in a big competition across channel where he got to meet and swim with Olympic royalty.
A statement by Thurles CBS says that their youthful swimmer achieved big last weekend: "A huge congratulations to Oscar Corbett in 1A who was swimming, in Birmingham last weekend, in the U14 boys across 4 disciplines.
"A tough competition but Oscar managed to finish 4th in the final competition. Oscar is competing against high performance swimmers and Olympians like Luke Greenback and James Guy.
"Last December, Oscar swam in Leeds in ‘Sprint with the Stars,’ against U12 swimmers and beat Olympian, Luke Greenback. Oscar is committed to a tough training routine. Congratulations Oscar, we are so proud of you!"
