Tipperary County Council will accord one of its highest honours – a civic reception – to the county's All-Ireland winning hurling and camogie teams later this month.
The reception to honour the victorious Tipperary Minor Hurling team, Tipperary Minor Camogie team and Tipperary Junior Camogie team and their managements will take place at Brú Ború in Cashel on Saturday, September 28 at 10am.
The date, venue and time of the civic reception was approved by councillors at the September meeting of Tipperary County Council in Clonmel on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Council is also planning to honour Olympic rowing bronze medallist Daire Lynch from Clonmel with a civic reception.
Council Cathaoirleach Cllr Declan Burgess said his proposal to accord the civic reception to Mr Lynch was currently with the Council's Corporate Policy Committee.
