Excellent hurling finals in Holycross as four U13 teams lift divisional honours

The Mid U13 Hurling Championship Finals took place in Holycross on Saturday

Clonakenny had far too much goalscoring prowess for Durlas Óg in the Group 3 Mid U13 Hurling Championship Final on Saturday, which sent the boys in black and yellow to the title in a brilliantly contested game in Holycross.

Martin Murray was the main man for the victors with the youngster running riot scoring five goals throughout the game which proved to be the big difference between the teams in the end.

There were good performances all over the pitch for Clonakenny with Eoghan Shelly and Aaron Keeshan scoring goals, while Joe Mortimer also impressed.

Durlas Óg never gave up and were best served by Mark Barrett and Paddy Hassett, scoring all but three points of the Óg total on the day.
