Cashel library will host a free special event as part of the Cashel Arts Festival.
"Signing off on the earliest writing" will take place this Friday, September 13, from 11am to 11:45am.
The discussion will be hosted by Martin Worthington, Al-Maktoum Associate Professor in Middle Eastern Studies at Trinity College Dublin.
The discussion will focus on the earliest forms of writing, such as Mesopotamian cuneiform.
Dr Worthington will draw from his current research, and explain ancient symbols which have baffled experts for over a century.
