Gardaí issue witness appeal statement following collision in Tipperary

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a serious road traffic collision near Killoscully, Co. Tipperary on Thursday afternoon, September 12.

The collision involving a van and a pedestrian occurred on the L2110 at Garraunbeg at approximately 4:00pm.

The pedestrian, a female minor, was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries.

She has since been transferred to Children's Health Ireland at Temple Street where she remains in a serious condition.

There were no other injuries reported.

The road at the scene of the collision is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.

Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 3:30pm and 4.30pm, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

Investigations are ongoing.
