Laytown races are always a fantastic day out and in the sunshine autumnal conditions an 8/1 shot with Tipperary connections finished first at the line.

Jered Maddox led close home under Luke McAteer to win the opening six-furlong handicap at Laytown on Monday week last to huge cheers and celebration.

Trained by David Marnane, the City Equine ll Syndicate owned outsider in the betting got up just in time to win by a short head from Not Forgotten.
