Age Friendly Roscrea Rosie Greys and Ukulele Group combined forces during the summer as part of a Creative Ireland Project.
The aim of the project was to encourage people to gain confidence in their music and performance skills to culminate in a performance. The groups have worked hard, practicing weekly and broadened their repertoire.
Earlier in the summer they had a lively performance with a visiting group of young people from Texas who were here on a summer camp with the Christian Oasis Centre.
Last week they performed at Racket Hall Roscrea Accommodation Centre for the residents living there as well as members of the public.
On Wednesday 9th October at 3.15pm they performed for the residents of Mount Carmel Nursing Home. All the performances to date have been energetic and brought great joy to their audience.
Well done to all involved – Fionán, Edel, Susan and the band of musicians and singers! Thank you for all the hard work and amazing talent.
Thank you also to Tipperary County Council and Creative Ireland for the funding.
