Joseph Gorman is set to release his debut album, The Modern Irish Ballad.
A launch event will be held at Hotel Minella, Clonmel, on November 3 at 8pm.
The launch event will feature renowned piper Joe Byrne, folk artist Enda Byrne, and support act The Barry Family.
CDs will be on sale during the event.
Available for streaming and purchase on major platforms, the album showcases a modern interpretation of traditional Irish folk music.
The Modern Irish Ballad features heartfelt songs blending rich storytelling, evocative melodies, and a deep connection to Irish cultural heritage.
With influences from Irish ballads like 'Four Green Fields', 'Come My Little Son', and 'Faraway in Australia', alongside original contemporary folk songs such as 'Geneva', 'Can I See Your Passport?', and 'When Minella Won the Double', Joseph bridges the past and present through his music.
"This album is a culmination of five years' work” telling stories of the lived Irish experience in recent times, including the cost of living crisis, moving to Australia, COVID, rural isolation, humorous come-all-ye songs, and recent sporting events,”.
The album is now available for pre-save on iTunes ahead of its official release on October 18.
