Over 1,000 homes and businesses near the border between Tipperary and Kilkenny are currently experiencing power outages.
A total of 1,139 customers in Glengoole, Co Tipperary, close to the Kilkenny border, are affected by the outage.
Out of this number, 1,067 customers are expected to have their electricity restored by 11 a.m., as ESB crews work to fix the issue on the power line.
However, there is no estimated time for when the remaining 72 customers in Glengoole will have their power back.
The ESB has acknowledged the fault and has teams on-site addressing the problem, but they are unable to provide a timeline for full restoration.
