Tipperary trained French Dynamite bounced back to his very best to land the Grade 3 BetVictor Chase at odds of 7/2 at Punchestown on Wednesday last.
The Mouse Morris-trained went ahead early and kept the pace up throughout the fast paced race which signals a return to form that made many sit up and take notice.
With Mark Walsh riding in the Robcour colours, the nine-year-old made much of the running from the field showing good stamina to set the pace.
In the end the horse ran out a convincing two and a quarter-length winner from Henry de Bromhead’s 4/1 chance Minella Indo with Hewick, under top-weight, a fine third, a further four and a half lengths away.
