Carrick-on-Suir coffee morning raised over €1,130 for South Tipperary Hospice Movement

The Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning for Hospice hosted by the Tudor Artisan Hub in Carrick-on-Suir on October 4 raised €1,138 for the South Tipperary Hospice Movement.

There were five raffle prizes with the top hamper prize filled with crafted gifts made by local artisans.

Despite the huge downpours many people popped in to enjoy the chat, the tea, coffee and delicious home bakes.

Tudor Artisan Hub proprietor Linda Fahy thanked Bernie Power, Chris Power, Liz Martin, Clare Quinlan, Mirjam’s Kitchen and Nicola Coady for the gorgeous baked goods.

“Thank you to Stephen Power, Kathleen Farrell, Patsy Choi, Margaret O’Brien and Jane O’Driscoll for lending a hand setting up, catering, selling raffle tickets, manning the Hub and cleaning up afterwards and to wee Jack for pulling out the winning tickets.

“Thank you to Lizanne Craft & Design for hosting the Felting demonstration.

“Thank you to all the artists who donated arts and crafts and supported this charity event and to everyone who stopped by and supported this great cause and to those who pledged donations who couldn't join us.”

Linda also thanked Bewley’s Coffee for delivering delicious coffee and tea, cups and posters to support venues hosting coffee mornings for hospice organisations throughout the country.
