Kildare singer/songwriter Joseph Gorman takes the stage at Clonmel's Hotel Minella this Sunday, November 3 at 8pm to launch his new Irish folk album, ‘The Modern Irish Ballad’.
Joseph will captivate you with his unique voice and blend of original and well-known Irish ballads, including songs inspired by Clonmel’s very own recent sporting success like ‘When Minella Won the Double’ and ‘The Ballymac Bullet’.
With a growing online following and a rich musical education from UCC and Maynooth, Joseph has quickly become a rising name on the Irish folk scene, telling the stories of recent times through the timeless tradition of Irish balladry.
Adding to the night’s magic, Joseph will be joined by The Barry Family, a group of talented traditional Irish music players, who will have some lively tunes ready to kickstart the evening.
Joseph will also be joined by two of Kildare’s finest talents: Joe Byrne, one of Ireland’s top uilleann pipers, and Enda Byrne, an exciting up-and-coming folk artist.
This is a free ticketed event, and tickets can be collected in advance from the Hotel Minella reception.
If you would like to support on the night, CDs will be on sale for €15 - cash and card accepted.
Be sure to arrive early on the night to secure your spot and avoid disappointment. There will be a limited number of tickets on the door.
Don’t miss out on what promises to be a memorable night of music and storytelling.
