GOOD WORK: Gardaí seize car after numerous offences in busy Tipperary town

In a serious breach of road safety measures, Tipperary’s Roads Policing Unit stopped a driver outside Thurles yesterday, who was clocked traveling at 84 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

This traffic stop happened as part of National Slow Down Day, an initiative aimed at encouraging drivers to adhere to speed limits and prioritize safety.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers discovered the driver was operating without valid insurance.

In response, the Roads Policing Unit took swift action: the car was seized, a speeding fine was issued, and further legal consequences are expected as the driver is now set to appear in court.
