A local Tipperary councillor celebrated a major marriage milestone this week while campaigning for a seat in the upcoming general election.
Labour councillor Michael 'Chicken' Brennan, a Carrick-on-Suir representative, shared the news in a post on social media, which included his wife and himself out canvassing.
Brennan described it as a "great way to celebrate".
The Killenuale native and first time Labour councillor ran a surprisingly successful campaign in the local elections in June, securing enough votes to take the third seat in the five-seat Carrick-On-Suir constituency.
Now, the Labour Councillor is running for general election in Tipperary South, which will elect three TDs on November 29th.
Many congratulated Brennan and his wife Helen on their wedding anniversary, with one commenter adding: "what a team!"
