Dylan McLoughlin Moyne AC performed brilliantly at the weekend
The County Juvenile B & Novice B XC Championships took place at the weekend with many representatives from across the county and on the day Moyne AC were well represented.
A report from the event gives a rundown of the Moyne athletes of which the ladies feature first: "First to take to the course were Lisa Quinlan and Aisling Maher in the novice ladies 3km race.
"Lisa fresh from her fine performance at the Munster Senior XC championships last weekend, produced another great performance this weekend finishing in 4th position just outside of the medals.
"Aisling also raced a great race working hard staying with the pack throughout the race. Well done ladies.
"In the men’s race Dylan McLaughlin was our sole representative. Dylan raced a brave race, taking on the lead from midway through the first lap.
"Dylan led up until the last 300m where unfortunately for him the Clonmel and Nenagh athletes just had that bit more in the tank.
"A great learning curve for Dylan, managing to hold onto the bronze medal for 3rd place, earning himself his first individual adult cross country medal. A solid return to cross country for Dylan topped off with a medal. Well done.
"We would like to thank the Hayes family and Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. for hosting the great well ran event," the statement concluded.
