A Tipperary woman has launched an urgent appeal following the complete destruction to her fiancé's black BMW.

Thanks to the advice of those in the community after appealing for information on Facebook, the young couple were able to obtain fairly clear CCTV footage, which proved exactly when the unfortunate incident occurred, along with a description of the vehicle that caused this.

The hit-and-run took place on Monday, September 7, at precisely 7:36am on Kenyon Street, Nenagh, directly outside estate agents, Eoin Dillon's office.

In a video posted to the Nenagh & Tipperary Community Facebook page, a grey/silver Honda Civic, whose license plate is unclear, can be clearly seen clashing with the parked car, which then resulted in a multitude of deep scratches and dents on the right hand side of the vehicle, along with a broken mirror, and the front bumper becoming raised and damaged as a result of the collision.

The car has been since written off.

In the 23 second video, you can see the Honda Civic drive up about three seconds in, and swiftly collide with the black BMW.

The whole incident is over by the five second mark, and in turn, for the remainder of the CCTV footage, you can see the guilty party's vehicle fail to remain at the scene.

Taking to the community groups Facebook page, the local woman, who has been issuing the appeal since the accident took place, said, "Despite obtaining clear video evidence, the person responsible has not come forward to either us or Gardaí,

"This incident has left my fiancé without a car for nearly nine weeks, causing significant disruption and stress,

"This is a final call for the person responsible to come forward. If not, the case will proceed through legal channels for dangerous driving and leaving the scene of an accident," she added.
