Qualified arborist to tend to trees in this Tipperary town 'to make them more appropriate'

Good news!

There has been an update regarding the trees on the Plaza in Cashel.

The council engineers have said: "At this time the existing trees on the Cashel Plaza will be left in situ but pruned by a qualified arborist to make them more appropriate to their town centre setting.

"The rain garden between the limestone block seat and the existing road kerb will now become a flower bed as it wont be possible to install a rain garden at this time, due to the trees being left insitu."

Cllr Liam Browne said: "This is a great compromise, as many people were upset about the possible loss of the mature trees already on the Plaza

"I'd like to commend the council engineers for taking on board people's opinions and concerns, and look forward to the new Plaza being a fantastic space and amenity for the town."
