A planning application has been lodged for the refurbishment and expansion of a shop in Boherlahan, which closed in recent years.
LMP Developments, a UK-based company, recently purchased the property and intends to reopen and upgrade the premises to a functional store once again.
The store is located on the R660 in Ardmayle East, close to Boherlahan Cemetery and the nearby parish hall. The former family-run petrol station, O'Dwyer's, has been closed for some time.
In the planning application submitted to Tipperary County Council, LMP outlines their plans for the reopening of the shop, as well as "the provision of an off-licence facility in the existing shop and goods store", and "the provision of a car wash facility".
Tipperary County Council is due to rule on the planning application by January 11.
