MSD Ireland recently held its first-ever All-Ireland Volunteering Week, where employees across seven sites joined forces to volunteer over 2,500 hours of their time to support 19 charity and community organisations across the country.

MSD Ireland says that this community-driven initiative shows its commitment and collective efforts to strengthen community ties and support local initiatives, positively impacting the local communities where its employees live and work.

At MSD Ballydine, Co Tipperary, 60 employees volunteered 240 hours of their time with Rosedale Residential Home in Kilmacow, Ballyduff AFC in Kilmeaden, and Cuan Saor Women’s Refuge in Clonmel. These organisations are dedicated to providing essential care and support services to vulnerable and underserved populations.

At CuanSaor Women’s Refuge, volunteers assisted with administrative tasks and donated essential items to women and children seeking refuge from difficult situations.

Matt Maher, Site Lead for MSD Ballydine, said: “Making a difference and supporting our local community is a priority at MSD Ballydine, and we were so grateful for the opportunity to work alongside organisations that provide essential care and support to those in need.

“At MSD, we have been part of the Tipperary community for over 50 years, and look forward to continuing to find new opportunities to build on our legacy of making a positive contribution to our neighbours and local communities”.
