The overall winner in the Primary School category in the Clonmel Lions Club annual Peace Poster Competition was Liliana Stankiewicz.

Liliana is a Sixth Class pupil in the Presentation Primary School, Clonmel and is wished all the very best as she goes on to represent the Lions Club at national level.

The theme of this year’s competition was ‘Peace has no Limits’. The awards ceremony took place in the Talbot Hotel and was attended by the participants, along with their families and teachers.

Lions Club President Catherine Murphy thanked all those who took part, as well as the adjudicator, Maureen Purcell, for her invaluable input.

The competition proved once again to be a very popular and positive event for all those who took part and in a very fitting way drew attention to the need for peace in our world.

Catherine thanked all who made the event possible.
