Tipperary Peace Convention, known for its commitment to fostering dialogue, unity, and harmony, extends a heartfelt invitation to join in 'Reflections for Christmas' at the Tipperary Excel, Tipperary Town, on Monday December 9th at 11:00am. This special occasion is an opportunity to pause amid the busyness of the season and embrace the deeper significance of Christmas; a time for peace, hope, and renewal.

Christmas is more than a festive celebration; it is a season of reflection. It invites us to look beyond the glitter and gaiety and consider the enduring values of compassion, kindness, and togetherness. The Tipperary Peace Convention’s 'Reflections for Christmas' event provides a meaningful space to ponder the blessings in our lives and the ways we can extend peace to our communities and the world. At the heart of the Tipperary Peace Convention’s mission is the belief that peace begins with individual action. Christmas, with its message of goodwill to all, aligns perfectly with this ethos.

Whether through shared stories, moments of silent meditation, or the gentle harmonies of carols, this event reminds us that peace is not just an abstract concept but a tangible gift we can nurture within ourselves and share with others. 'Reflections for Christmas' is also a celebration of unity and hope, creating a tapestry of shared humanity.

Participating in this event will be Dónal Gorman, Communications and Advocacy Manager with Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF), HE Ambassador Dr. Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Ireland, His Excellency, Mr. Mohamed Sarwat Selim, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, former Minister of State, Dr. Martin Mansergh, along with representatives of An Garda Síochána and a number of organisations.

Music appropriate to the season will be provided by St. Ailbe's School Choir and Rockwell Music Academy. This event reinforces the idea that no matter our differences, the spirit of Christmas connects us all through its universal themes of love and hope. All are welcome and there is no admittance charge.
