Galtee Rovers/St Pecaun played in the Tipperary intermediate football final and line out again tonight in the divisional final.
The 79th Shane Hennessy Agri-Advisor West Senior Football Championship Final between Golden/Kilfeacle and Galtee Rovers has been re-fixed for tonight - Friday December 20th - at 7.30pm in Annacarty. Finish on the day rules will apply.
The sides are meeting in the final for the first time since 1999 when Galtee Rovers came out on top, 1-10 to 0-5 in a game that was played at Sean Treacy Park.
The sides had previously clashed in the 1988 final which saw Golden/Kilfeacle come out on 0-8 to 0-5 in Emly.
Galtee Rovers will be aiming for a first title in the grade since 2018 when they claimed their 26th title. Golden/Kilfeacle last tasted honours in the Senior football final back in 1996 when they completed two in a row.
Golden/Kilfeacle will be seeking a fifth West Senior Football title. They also have a title from 1980 when joined with Rockwell they defeated Cashel King Cormacs.
The O’Carroll Cup will be presented to the winners while Seanie Peters will take charge of his first West Senior Football Final.
