Residents are set to be assigned homes this January under a housing initiative introduced by Tipperary County Council at Springfort Meadows in Nenagh.
The update was provided to Cllr Louise Morgan Walsh during the December meeting of the Nenagh Municipal District, with the homes being allocated for the second week of January. Cllr Morgan Walsh noted receiving numerous concerns from private homeowners in the estate.
Meanwhile, Cllr John Carroll highlighted complaints regarding certain activities in council-owned developments elsewhere in the district. These complaints included instances of tenants leaving vehicles propped up on concrete blocks outside their newly allocated homes.
Cllr Carroll described these practices as "unacceptable" and emphasized their negative impact on other residents who take pride in maintaining their neighborhoods.
He urged the council to address the issue and enforce higher standards to preserve the appearance and harmony of the estates.
