Tipperary farmers hands in  letter of appeal to Coomore following farm acquisition

Farmer John Hurley handed in a letter at the gates of Coolmore calling for farm buildings to be retained at Parkville

Following the Hedgerows Ireland farm gate demonstration at Parkville Clonmel back in October, dairy farmer John Hurley  handed in a personal letter at Coolmore Stud HQ addressed to the Magnier family, the new owners of the farm.

The letter asks that the trees and hedgerows and historic farm buildings at Parkville be retained by its new owners.

John Hurley had leased the farm, which immediately adjoins his own land over the last 35 years.

He, along with 40 others, was an unsuccessful bidder for the farm at an auction in March which sold for €38,000 euro per acre.
