Newly elected Tipperary TD Ryan O'Meara has alerted his followers about a fraudulent TikTok account impersonating him in an attempt to scam unsuspecting users.
The fake account, operating under the username @ryanomeara_td1, is reportedly messaging followers of Mr. O'Meara and attempting to convince them to invest in a cryptocurrency scheme.
In a statement, Mr. O'Meara clarified that his official TikTok username is @ryanomeara_td, with no additional characters. He urged users to exercise caution and note the subtle difference between the legitimate account and the fake one.
To report a fake account on TikTok, users can go to the account’s profile, select the menu button (three dots), and choose “Report.”
