LIVE: List of schools in Tipp we know are staying closed on Wednesday due to sub-zero temps

Roads continue to be deemed to unsafe for travel

With weather conditions continuing to create treacherous driving conditions throughout the county and a further orange weather warning issued for this evening and overnight, several schools throughout Tipperary have confirmed they will be staying shut for a third day on Wednesday 8 January. The schools that have confirmed their continued closure are as follows:

  • Presentation Primary School Clonmel
  • Kilsheelan NS
  • Peter and Paul's NS Clonmel
  • Scoil Chormaic Cashel
  • Coláiste Dún Lascaigh Cahir
  • Ballylooby NS
  • Sisters of Charity NS Clonmel
  • Gaelscoil Primary School Clonmel
  • Ballingarry Secondary School
  • Oola NS
  • Ballylanders NS
  • Lisvernane NS
  • Knockavilla NS
  • St Michael's Girls NS Tipp town
  • St Ailbes Tipp town
  • St Joseph's NS Tipp town
  • Rossmore NS

We will update this list as schools confirm closures throughout the evening but it is looking highly likely that the majority of schools will stay closed tomorrow.
